But there are some bigger ones out there.
The last fishing days have been realy good here in the Hawkes Bay. Heaps of Snapper, Trevally and some goof Kingfish was caught from us while fishing the Waikeri Area. Surfcasting from the Beach was also very good – we caught Snapper up to 6kg and some Red Cods and Gurnards.
We had in the last days some good fishing out here in Napier. Some kings up to 17kg and some realy big Jack Makrels. The Watertemprature have been droping vom 19 to 17 in the last days – we wasnt able to find some more Albacore or Skippjack Tunas but still they are plenty of Makosharks arround.
We fished also some days from our own Stabicraft. Beeing based in Whitianga was perfect for fishing from a smaler trailerboat.
We caught heaps of Kingfish, John Dory, Kahawais, Skippjack Tuna, Rockfish… and more. Malte was hooking a bigger Makoshark on a livebait. After a long battle on his Jigging Master Ocean God rod we released the Shark by cutting off the leader close to the hook. Very special was also my Flossfish (kind of a mix between Barracouda and Eel) that tooked my 250gr. Speedjigg.
We saw also twice Stripped Marlin cruising in front of our Boat but no luck to get him on the hook ….
Hey – sorry to haven not been poasting much in the last month. My mates Bastian, Malte and i went for 2 Weeks fishing adventure up to Coromandel. We had big fun, heaps of nice fishos and an unforgetable Trip with Toby Kemp from Epic Charters. Here some Pics of our Kings and the few Snapper that we had that day:-)
